Its more usual to climb aboard a boat by the
stern, but sometimes its necessary to use the front. For this you will need a
special boat bow ladder. Boats are usually boarded by the stern because it is
easier as this part is designed for boarding and tends to be lower than the rest
of the boat.
It becomes necessary to board the boat by the front if it has been beached, or
left tied up by the bow. A boat bow ladder hangs over the side of the boat, with
